a) Knowledge gained
During these months, I have learned a lot of new things.
To be sincere at the beginning of this course, I was afraid because I did not
know much about technology. But now I can say that I really like technology
because I discovered that it is an interesting subject in which we can learn to
interact and learn from others. I also have found very useful the internet tools
such as; voicethread, voxopop, prezi, hot potatoes, blogger, delicious and so
on. That is why; I am going to take them into account. In general, I want to say that now I have an
idea on how to implement and use the different tools in a classroom.
b) What attitude must be needed
to work with online tools?
I consider that we need to have a positive
attitude and be eager to learn new things, because to work with online tools is
always a challenge, so that we have to be patient if we want to do an excellent
job.
c) How these tools can be implemented in other subjects. Give specific examples, please.
There
are many ways in which these tools can be implemented in a classroom, for
example:
You
can use blogger in any level and in any subject such as, didactic, literature,
etc. You can ask students to write journals, essays, reflective learning, and so
on.
You can use it in so many different subject areas and for different purposes. For example, you
can ask students to share some pictures and videos about any topic, and then they can record their voice
or write a comment about it. You could even collaborate with a class from
another state or country by choosing a topic such as pollution and have
different students share their comments.
It can be used to help students develop their oral
speaking skills by having students reply to questions using voice recorded
answers and by hearing the recorded answers from other students. They just need
to choose any topic and then they can start to talk about it.
In this tool students can create interesting presentations using any topic. They can add pictures, texts, videos, documents, background music, etc.
It is an excellent tool in
which allow us to keep the different links we are using. We can use this tool
in research, because it can help us a lot to have all the list of links we are using during our investigation.
d) What are some things that should be added or left out in a future
course?
Well,
all the things you taught us during the course were really useful for us, but
it would be great to implement more tools because it will help a lot to the
future students.
e) Suggestions to improve the course.
I
really liked all the tools we used during the course, but I would like to have
learned more tools, because it is really necessary to learn a little bit of
everything. I know that it is kind of
difficult because of the time, but you can ask students to bring more
ideas to work with different tools in order that they can try with new things
and everyone can learn from each other, etc. It would be great!
